Billing

Plans, the Team trial, usage limits, seats, and what changes when you upgrade, downgrade or cancel.

Warpway has a Free plan, a Team plan with a 14-day trial, and an Enterprise plan in planning. Billing is per organization, handled by Stripe, and managed by the organization's Owners.

"Unlimited" means no fixed monthly cap, under fair use. The Enterprise plan is planned, not yet available as a separate product: SSO and SAML, SCIM, advanced audit, bring-your-own-key, a dedicated tenant, VPC or on-premises deployment, custom retention and an SLA. Email us about your requirements.

Usage limits

On the Free plan, private repositories get 20 reviews per calendar month, counted in UTC. Each private pull request counts once per UTC month. New commits and reruns of that pull request in the same month do not consume another review. A review that was refused because of the limit does not count. Settings → Billing shows how many reviews you have used.

When the limit is reached, further reviews in private repositories do not run until the next month or until you upgrade. Their check reports Usage limit reached instead of a result. Warpway never reports success for a review it did not do. Public repositories are not limited.

The Team trial

  1. Install the GitHub App.
  2. An Owner opens Settings → Billing and starts the 14-day Team trial. No card is needed to start it.
  3. Every Team feature works during the trial.

To stay on Team, add a payment method in the billing portal before the trial ends. If the trial ends without one, the subscription ends and the organization returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted. Each organization can take the trial once, before its first subscription.

Seats

Team is billed per developer seat. A seat is a person who authored a pull request that Warpway reviewed in the last 30 days, in any of the organization's repositories. Bots are not counted, and the minimum is one seat. Warpway updates the seat count from this activity, and Stripe prorates the change. Settings → Billing shows the current seat count. People who only answer questions do not take a seat, and people who answer in Slack do not need Warpway accounts.

Paying and invoices

Owners subscribe through Stripe Checkout and manage the payment method, billing details and invoices in Stripe's billing portal, opened from Settings → Billing. Warpway never receives or stores card numbers. Prices exclude taxes.

Changing plans

  • Upgrading takes effect when the subscription starts: limits are lifted and Team features become available.
  • Payment problems: if a payment fails, Team features keep working while Stripe retries, for up to 14 days from the start of the unpaid billing period. If the payment is still missing after that, or Stripe ends the subscription, the organization moves to the Free plan.
  • Cancelling: an Owner cancels in the billing portal. Team features continue until the end of the paid period, then the organization moves to Free.

What changes on the Free plan

When an organization moves from Team to Free, nothing is deleted, but the Free plan's limits apply to new reviews:

  • trust levels above Assist are capped at Assist, so Warpway / Review reports neutral and no longer blocks merges;
  • Slack routing stops; tasks are routed through GitHub and the dashboard;
  • custom lenses, .warpway.yml policy, runtime verification, organization knowledge and auto-approval stop applying;
  • the private repository review limit applies, and private reviews already run that month, including on Team, count toward it.

Upgrading again restores your settings as they were.
